The Blockbuster Event

As discussed in class, an attempt to create a successful blockbuster by a studio is often accompanied by cross-over promotion in an attempt to create a cultural event. Everything from flash mobs to happy meals are used in an attempt to create a success.

Your task is to find cross-over promotion for a film (trailers, ads and billboards, unless novel, do not count) and discuss their purpose using the key concepts of media.

Provide video or images of the promotional items that you find.
